Booktalk: Effa always loved baseball, but she never dreamed that someday she would own a baseball team!

Snippet: Abe and Effa married in 1935 and started a team, the Brooklyn Eagles, in the new Negro National League that Abe had helped establish.

How great to see SHE LOVED BASEBALL featured! Author Audrey Vernick is a very versatile writer. I just love her IS YOUR BUFFALO READY FOR KINDERGARTEN picturebook. Hilarious.
